Transfer Point's 100 mg Manifesto

More is not always better. As the cost-of-living continues to increase, it’s more important than ever to make sure you’re getting the best value for your dollar.

We’d like to help and show you just how much value our 100 mg Glucan 300® capsules offer, and why switching brands to save money is a bad idea.

First, understand that Glucan 300® works by binding to receptor sites on immune cells. In general, the more you take, the more binding you can expect, but it’s important to know that 500 mg of Glucan 300® is not 5 times better than taking 100 mg. Sure, you’ll have more binding and benefits from 500 mgs, but it’s not 5 times the benefit. The benefits of Glucan 300® are not exactly proportionate to the amount of mg you’re taking.

The graphic below shows how the dosage of Glucan 300® affects phagocytosis:

Now that you see how close the benefits are between taking 100 mg capsules vs 500 mg capsules, you may decide the extra cost of the 500 mg capsules aren’t worth the extra binding or benefit. Of course, in some cases the extra benefit is worth the additional cost, but it’s important to us that you truly understand the benefits related to the price you’re paying.

Second, there’s a long-running misconception about beta glucan and dosage, and too many people are convinced 500 mg capsules are necessary simply because it’s more. If you think 500 mg capsules are necessary, you might try a cheaper brand’s 500 mg and think that would be better than taking 100 mg of Glucan 300®. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case.

Transfer Point's Glucan 300® at the lowest dose still outperforms the competitor's highest dose. *(1, 2, 3, 4)

Take a look at how the other brands performed below in all four research articles we referenced above. (To save on legal fees, we’ve covered the brand names from the screenshots.)

Glucan 300® has been compared to many popular brands of beta glucan over the years, and it's all published, peer-reviewed research. The lowest recommended dose of Glucan 300® has repeatedly outperformed competitor's products at the highest dosage levels measured.

In other words: Don't switch brands to take a higher dose. You’ll get more benefit taking Transfer Point’s 100 mg capsules than any other brand of 500 mg capsules.

How much should I take?

Research using Glucan 300® supports a dose range between 2-20 mg/kg, regardless of age.

Glucan 300® works by binding to receptor sites on immune cells. In general, the more you take, the more binding you can expect, but every immune system is different.

Whether you choose the 100 mg or 500 mg capsules, most adults will fall into the range supported by research simply following the Suggested Use for each product. If you're still not sure how much to take, we recommend the 100 mg capsules, or speaking with your health care professional. We can provide published research for your health care provider detailing the mode of action and other functions of beta 1,3d glucan.
